PARISH-BASED SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
(Kasuyuan a Yampang at Gagampanan ning Parokya at Eukaristiya/KAYAGAPE)

KAYAGAPE program works toward the establishment and implementation of social development programs and services that are integral and sustainable in parish communities; and eventually, the establishment of parish social action center. It does this through a call to be a Church of the Poor in the Archdiocese of San Fernando.

In particular KAYAGAPE is concerned with:

• The formation and capacity building of servant leaders;
• The preparation of parish pastoral plans and implementation of social development programs and services;
• The institutionalization and sustainability of programs and services in partnership with the local government and barangay councils and other community organizations
• The sharing of program experiences towards the replication of the program in other parishes and dioceses.

Selected parishes in the Archdiocese were involved in the program implemented in partnership with Caritas Norway.
