Closer to the People!
First SACOP Branch Opens in Madapdap

12 Jun 2008

In its effort to improve the living condition of marginalized people with entrepreneurial and management skills, the establishment of SACOP’s first branch will definitely bring closer its services to the people of Mabalacat and nearby communities. The SACOP branch had a soft opening last April 21, 2008 in Madapdap Resettlement. The branch will offer the same services as with SACOP main office in Maimpis, City of San Fernando by way of extending Financial Assistance for additional capitalization to businesses. Mabalacat was chosen because of the concentration of the government resettlement areas namely Madapdap, Mawaque and Camachille. The Maryland Resettlement Community which is owned by SACOP is also situated in the municipality. The site is near the town of Magalang.

SACOP Branch offers 3 loan windows. These include:

¡ Business Loan for small to medium micro entrepreneurs engaged in trading, manufacturing,

food processing and service that provides employment opportunities to the community.

¡        Transport Service facility for tricycle drivers and motorcycle for employees working either in  public or private companies as personal service.

¡        Multi Purpose loan for education, health and house  renovation and construction.

All loans are charged with 2% interest per month computed on a straight line method, service charge at 2% and

a 5% penalty is charged in the amount due in case of delayed payments.

The SACOP Branch exact location is Blk-87, Lot 38, Phase 2 San Fernando Avenue, Madapdap Resettlement in Mabalacat, Pampanga. The branch is approximately 1.3 kilometers away from the Public Market of Madapdap and Rural Bank of Bacolor where clients will withdraw their loan and pay their ammortization. It is approximately 300 meters away from the resettlement Church. It is open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Applications for additional capital are now accepted. Applications are processed based on project viability, credibility, attitude and character of the applicant and appraisal of collaterals.

Our new branch boasts of SACOP’s best quality service providers. People calling to our new branch office will be served by Elpie Manarang, a staff member who has 2 years experience in SACOP. operations.  Werner Aragona will be responsible for marketing, screening of applicants, processing of applications and collections.  He has been involved in this work for almost 8 years now.

Through the years SACOP has looked for ways on how to better serve its clientele. With the introduction of its satellite office, SACOP intends to reach out more and come nearer its vision of offering “ FULLNESS OF LIFE “ to target clients.
